School students planted Olive and Pine saplings at Margalla foothills near Islamabad zoo. The plantation started at 10 a.m by 300 students from Army Public School FWO Chaklala. Each child was provided with a kit containing plant saplings and a bottle for watering plants.
The event was planned under the 'Keep Me Green and Clean' campaign initiated by Brig Babar of Frontier Works Organisation. School children were particularly involved to raise their awareness about the importance of tree plantation for a healthy environment.
After the plantation activity the students collected rubbish from the site for a clean ending.
