Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has laid foundation stone of Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway (M-9) to be completed by FWO, which is the first phase of Karachi-Lahore Motorway to be completed in four phases. Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Chairman NHA Shahid Ashraf Tarar, DG FWO Maj Gen Muhammad Afzal and other high ranking officials also graced the occasion.

Prime Minister while speaking to the audience said that the Government is laying a network of motorways across the country which would reduce the distance between the people and increase interaction and commercial activities among the provinces. He said FWO would also build the Multan-Lahore Section of the Motorway. Prime Minister has also praised the services of FWO for construction of highways in Balochistan despite all hardships.
