Shalimar Interchange was assigned to FWO by LDA. It includes construction of one flyover, two underpasses, 2 ground level bridges and 11km service road around the site. It was completedand inaugurated by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on 1 Jan 2010. It has improved the city’s traffic flaws, it connects the main city with cantonment through the flyover and converts the canal bank road into a fast moving signal free corridor.
