Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated 293 kilometers long Hakla - D I Khan Motorway at Prime Minister House Islamabad on 5 January 2022. This motorway is an important part of the Western route of CPEC. The motorway will connect to less developed areas and reduce the time from D I Khan to Islamabad from 7 hours to 3 hours only. The ceremony was attended by the Minister for Communication Murad Saeed, federal ministers, parliamentarians, and officials of NHA and Director General FWO.
