Rawalpindi Sep 15: FWO spokesman clarified a news item regarding week long breakdown of power supply in Mohmand Agency as a result of tussle between FWO and Tribal Electrical Supply Company (Tesco). He said that the FWO is committed in the widening and upgradation of Road Ghallanai to Mohmand Ghat. The three power pylons were removed from the roadside by Tesco for realignment and not by FWO which was the result of payment of Rs. 18.2 million made to Tesco by FWO for the erection of new pylons about 10 months ago. Being a law abiding and responsible organization, FWO took all legal measures for the shifting of electric pylons well before time and also involved the district administration, so that the local population may not suffer. It was further clarified that FWO is people friendly organization which cannot think of putting stress on local population. Shifting of electric supply line from roadway prior to removal of existing one is the sole responsibility of Tesco, which is being done by the Tesco authorities and accordingly work on alternative transmission line is in progress.
