
Despite security challenges and harsh terrain, this 75-kilometre road was completed in an exceptional 13 months. The two-lane carriageway, finished in 2006, constitutes as a major gateway of trade between Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Afghanistan’s Nangarhar provinces. Since this portion of the Durand Line witnesses the most traffic, it was essential to cultivate a smooth and durable link for the enhancement of regional economic connectivity
