
Located 50-kilometres away from Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, on the Haro River in Khanpur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), this 51-metre high structure safeguards the area’s water through the formation of the Khanpur lake. The dam, completed in 1983, has a storage capacity of 79, 980 acre-feet, serving as a major supplier of clean water to the twin cities.
