
The Muhammad Khel Copper Mining Project (MKCMP) is a initiative of Mineral Exploration & Development Operations (MEDO), located in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It stands as Pakistan’s second-largest copper mining operation and has been operational since 2019. The project comprises an open-pit mine supported by a 1500 tons per day copper beneficiation plant
The complete mining value chain is managed by Pakistani professionals, with approximately 65% of the workforce drawn from the local community. MKCMP has emerged as a transformative development for the region, promoting socio-economic uplift while symbolizing self-reliance, sustainable growth and progress in Pakistan’s mineral sector
