The facility is a landmark power generation complex comprising three oil-fired, steam-powered units with a combined installed capacity of 630 MW. The project encompassed extensive civil works, including the construction of 170 structures, 4.5 kilometres of cable trenches and 7 kilometres of internal road networks. Operational since 1995, the station has played a vital role in strengthening Punjab’s energy sector by significantly augmenting regional power supply and contributing to long-term grid reliability and stability
